Alejandro Simonovich born in 1964 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America. Professor and Licenciate in Music, graduated at the La Plata National University (Argentina), he has composed chamber music, including the chamber humouristic opera "Our next program", and published children songs. In 1998 won a national prize in electroacoustic music. On june 22nd, 1999 the premiere of the first Charango Concerto, by Rolando Goldman, charango soloist, and the Argentine Music "Juan de Dios Filiberto" National Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Bozzani. The Argentine Music Tribune distinguished Mr. Simonovich for this Charango Concerto. A CD of the Ensamble de Cámara de Belgrano, conducted by Alejandra Kusnetz-Goobar, includes the Three Dances of the Time. He is member, an was president (2004-2008) of the Argentine Section of the Foro Latinoamericano de Educación Musical (Latinamerican Music Education Forum). On september 12, 2012 premiered the Concerto number 2 for Charango and Orchestra, at the Del Globo theater, by Rolando Goldman and the orchestra conducted by Popi Spatocco. On october 2016, premiered the Great Concert for Charangos Orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra. For this work, Alejandro Simonovich won the First National Prize in Letters, Arts and Sciences 2019 (music category) awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Argentina.
